Freedom Shrine Dedication
Walla Walla University

The Exchange Club of Walla Walla proudly dedicated a Freedom Shrine at Walla Walla University (WWU). WWU hosted members of Exchange on Monday, December 14, in the Alaskan Room of Kellogg Hall prior to the dedication.

The shrine will be on permanent display at the Department of History on the second floor of the Walla Walla University Administration building.

The shrine features 28 photographic reproductions of historic American documents including the Constitution, the Mayflower Compact, the Emancipation Proclamation, and Washington's first Inaugural Address.

Dr. John McVay, President of WWU, introduced our speaker, Professor of History, Terrie Aamodt, who addressed the membership for the shrine's dedication.

The shrine was purchased and donated by Exchangites Karen (and Larry) Adams, Dorita (and Mark) Tessier, Dennis (and Ann) Carlson, and former College Place Mayor, Ed Ammon. Opp & Seibold donated their time and effort to install the Freedom Shrine at the college.

The Exchange Club of Walla Walla is dedicated to Americanism and fighting child abuse in the Walla Walla Valley.
