| Recommendation to Board of Directors to move our Monday club meetings to CrossRoads effective November 1st was approved at the October 1st Board meeting; the following information was presented and discussed:
Crossroads is $11.25 including tax and gratuity X 48 weeks X 55 members = $29,700.00 no room charge. Budgeted $30,000 this year.
Things included:
- Would provide small locked area in basement for storage of badges, flag, meeting supplies;
- They will bring these things up each Monday before out meetings;
- They will purchase screen for presentations;
- They will purchase PA system.
Things we need to obtain:
- Infocus Projector
- Flag & Stant
- Tabletop Podium
The Whitman is $10.75 per person
+ tax & gratuity = $13.40 per person no room charge X 48 weeks X 55 members = $35,376.00
Things included:
- Would provide small locked area in coat closet;
- Have screen, infocus and PA system;
- Good Parking
The Elks will be charging us $125 per week for the room.
The caterer will be charging us $9.50 + tax and gratuity.
Which would be $11.82 per person
Plus $ 2.27 per person for the room charge
(if I use 55 members per meeting)
Total $14.09 X 48 weeks X 55 members = $37,197.60
- Charge will be based on a set # of people no matter how many show up. So if we estimate low then we'll run out of food, and if we estimate high we'll have food left over and it will cost Exchange more $$ - typical with a caterer.
